WRONG TURN FARM
Houda
Salmon Faverolle
Hi there! I’m Houda, a Salmon Faverolle with a heart as soft as my fluffy feathers. I might be named after Houdini for my ability to escape the confines of my coop, but really, I’m all sweetness and charm (with, let's be honest, a healthy sprinkle of ditziness...). They say we Faverolles are known for being gentle and affectionate, and I’m no exception — I’m definitely a mama’s girl.
I tend to hang back from the rest of the flock, a little shy and lower on the pecking order. But that just means I’m more likely to be found following my favorite human around the yard, cooing softly for treats or a reassuring scratch.
When it comes to laying, I’m steady but not overly ambitious. I produce lightly tinted, creamy eggs that are dainty and beautiful — just like me. About three to four eggs a week is my sweet spot, and I prefer a cozy, quiet nesting box tucked away from all the commotion. I take my time and make sure everything’s just right before I settle in to lay.
Sure, I can be a bit skittish — the world is big and full of surprises, after all. But when I feel safe and loved, I’m all cuddles and soft clucks. And while I might not be the boldest hen in the bunch, I’m loyal, loving, and always looking for a little extra attention from my favorite person.
